Minalungao National Park (old story)

Who would think that there is enchanting place in Nueva Ecija…. Minalungao National Park

This place was been introduced by Ghem, who secretly found the place because of stalking her crush FB accounts, hehe (don’t tell her that I share it :) ).

Minalungao National Park is a protected area of the Philippines located in the municipality of General Tinio, Nueva Ecija in Central Luzon. Along the scenic PeƱaranda River bordered on both sides by up to 16-meter high limestone walls in the foothills of the Sierra Madre mountain range. It was established in 1967 .

The park is considered as one of the few remaining natural environments in this region north of Manila. It is promoted by the local government as an ecotourism destination offering breath-taking scenery of green pristine river and unique rock formations. A system of unexplored subterranean caverns has also been identified as potential attractions. Facilities for picnics, swimming, fishing, raft riding and cliff diving have likewise been put up to draw more visitors

We rent a Van c/o Rhose and Jerome (our driver also) . And since we only rely on the GPS route going to the site, we got lost and went to dead end….

Luckily one of the private army (I guess he is) in motorcycle lead us in the correct way to go to place.
(I already lost of words as this is happen 2 years ago, hehe…I’ll just share some of the pictures)

Changing The World, One Pencil At A Time: Run For Pencils Project

Changing The World, One Pencil At A Time: Run For Pencils Project
(G.Gayao)

Kid: I love to run in circles. I love to run freely, rain or shine. I love to run after the butterflies.

Teenager: I need to run after the ball. I need to run away for a little while. I want to run away… with you.

Adult: I run to burn the extra pounds. I run for good health. I run for my life!

Whatever stage a person is in life, that person always run for a reason, whether the reason is good or not. And more often than not, even though most running events are tied up to a cause, runners always run for their personal benefit.

On 5, 6 and 20 March 2011, a group of running enthusiasts will literally hit the road for the Bataan Death March Ultramarathon 102k, Unilab Run United 1 and The Bull Runner Dream Marathon events, respectively. As each runner embarks on their personal goals, they have also decided to achieve the goal of Black Pencil Project (BPP) in changing the world one pencil at a time. It is BPP’s mission to reach out to every Filipino child in the far-flung communities around the Philippines. And these runners will partake in the advocacy to promote learning to early learners of the Mangyan tribes in Mindoro.

How? And what has running got to do with promoting learning?

A political figure once said that it takes a community to raise a child. And most runners will say that they never run alone. Click on the links below if you are interested in the initiative of the Black Pencil Project and would want to support your friend/any runner as he/she runs the good race and claims victory at the finish line.

a different way to Celebrate Christmas!!!

a message from a Dear Friend. :)

Hi Papa & Mama,

I hope you received my previous email/message regarding He Cares Foundation Street Children Caring Center. I am fervently wishing that you'll join me and my other friends in this good cause. To reiterate, on December 26, 2010, we will be going to He Cares Foundation Street Children Caring Center to give the kids our monetary donations and a simple Christmas party. Aside from lunch that we will provide for the party, we will also be giving away school supplies, a pair of rubber slippers for every child, a few prices for the games, toiletries, groceries, old clothes and other things that they might need.
If possible, we hope to receive your donations, either monetary or in kind by December 20, 2010. This is for the preparation of the lunch and gifts that we'll be giving to the children. We also encourage you to donate monetarily so we can buy the items that the children need most.

Please take note for monetary donations:

1. BDO "Cash Pick up Anywhere"

2. Western Union Money Transfer

Note: Kindly text me your name, amount of donation and control number or tracking number of your transaction.

For donations in kind, please contact me :)

We hope to hear from you soon and we hope you can help us in making this Christmas happy and memorable for the children of He Cares Foundation Street Children Caring Center.

Again Advanced Merry Christmas and God Bless!

Thank you,

Ronnie :-) .

NOTE: hope we can raise fund for the CHILDREN, so we can celebrate Christmas with them too. Excited on this activity. Thanks Ronnie for sharing this ...Thanks God for everything.

Maligayang Pasko sa Lahat!!!! :)
